About damn time!  
After being turned down twice I have finally been promoted to coordinator of my work group effective April 1. Apparently it took my supervisor writing a book-length* memo enumerating all the reasons why I deserve promotion for his recommendation to finally make it to the operations committee.

*I kid you not. The memo is at least 200 pages long.

Originally it was created back in the days when the partners were resisting supervisor or manager positions in my dept. Now I'll be third in command of my group, below the specialists & supervisor. Middle management lite. :)

Silly HR policies
The Legal Behemoth does not discuss salary at annual review or promotion meetings. We're supposed to focus on performance & job duties or somesuch nonsense. My salary meeting is next week, and it better be good.

Yep, still part-time. That's why I was turned down for a promotion last year: no precedent for a part-time coordinator. Hey, I'm a trailblazer!

Does this mean you have your very own phalanx of scantily-clad litter-bearers to carry you to meetings and so forth? 'Cos I think coordinators should definitely have scantily-clad litter-bearers. Plus accompanying drums and trumpets. Yup.

You said it, girlfriend. In other news, AR was promoted to specialist, so we now have five chiefs & just one analyst. I'm sure no trouble will come of that.

Oh, and RD was finally promoted to analyst II. Until I saw the memo today I had no idea she had been a level I all this time.
